The Cisco Nexus 5548UP Switch is a high-performance, rack-mountable, 1 RU data centre switch built on the Cisco Nexus 5000 series platform. It offers 32 unified 10 Gb/s SFP+ ports, with support for Fibre Channel, FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet), and Ethernet, which makes it ideal for converged data centre environments. The switch supports up to 960 Gb/s throughput and provides flexible expansion via one Generic Expansion Module (GEM) slot, enabling network scaling up to 48 ports.

Designed for high reliability, the device includes redundant hot-swappable power supplies and hot-swappable fan modules, supporting both front-to-back and back-to-front airflow based on data-centre cooling design.
